Understanding how your SOUL responds and processes your emotions

At Balance 2020, we follow the Collin’s English Dictionary and see the soul as the part of us that makes us unique, where our character, thoughts, experiences and feelings come together. Some believe that it is the part that lives on after death.

Even Einstein, a renowned scientist with a belief that the soul cannot exist without a body, recognized an aspect of the soul: “The valuation of life and all its nobler expressions can only come out of the soul’s yearning toward its own destiny. Every attempt to reduce ethics to scientific formulas must fail.“

Understanding our emotions and how to respond is key to a balanced life.

Without a body and a mind, we cannot feel and within that space between body and mind, our soul filters what we feel. Darwin, the originator of natural selection did not kill the soul but seemed to think that the soul has the faculties of conscience and moral sense. Different religions have different views on the soul, as outlined in our blog and the book by Robert Crawford, Battle for your Soul.

Our soul is the uniqueness in our humanity and we are all different in the way we feel emotions, some feel more than others. In some stages in life, from teenagers to first love to mid life crisis, the situation maybe universally human and the emotion predictable, arguing against the uniqueness of individual feeling in our soul or mind, the way we respond and balance our life is individual.
